I appreciate this so much! But what I meant was the Japanese characters into the Latin alphabet, as I cannot read Japanese. So I can sing this in Japanese, as it sounds beautiful.
Unfortunately, the part is written for either a bass-baritone or dramatic baritone. A lyric bass could be passable, but definitely not a tenor. Javert is a figure of power and authority, and kind of a negative hero as well. There is no way a tenor can sing that, sorry. It makes the performance unconvincing.
