ロングバケーション LONG VACATION 木村拓哉 山口智子 BGM ロンバケ
Piano, drums, bass and guitars are performed by me.
In my previous video, I’ve re-created Daisuke Hinata’s music from “King of Comedy (1999)” which was adapted from “Here We Are Again”, from Japanese TV drama “Long Vacation (1996)”. Like the prior, this instrumental “Long Vacation” BGM was never released on CD, vinyl or cassette. Only the vocal version was made available in the original soundtrack CD.
In contrast with the “King of Comedy” version, CAGNET / Daisuke Hinata played in A minor in Long Vacation at 120 bpm with different bassline and drums, slight variation on the piano and 1-part guitar strumming throughout.
All the recordings I’ve seen on YouTube or Spotify so far are covers and does not closely resemble Daisuke’s either arrangements. For this cover, I’ve remained mostly truthful to the BGM from Episode 8 of “Long Vacation”, in the classic scene where Sena 瀬名 (Takuya Kimura 木村拓哉) and Minami 南 (Tomoko Yamaguchi 山口智子) exchanged furious words,. Thereafter, Minami walked out of the flat but she missed him dearly. Do let me know if you like this remake of mine !
