『燃える秋』（もえるあき）は1978年12月23日に公開された
日本映画。五木寛之の同名小説の映画化。
主演：真野響子 監督：小林正樹。三越=東宝映画提携、配給東宝。

(あらすじ)
老画商・影山（佐分利信）の愛玩品として弄ばれることに
疲れきった桐生亜希（真野響子）が、京都祇園祭の宵山の
雑踏の中で若い商社マン・岸田（北大路欣也）に出会い、
ペルシャ絨毯の美を教えられる。やがて影山はガンに侵され、
亜希にペルシャ絨毯とそれを生んだイランへの航空券を残して死ぬ。
亜希は影山の遺志でイランに旅立つ。

“Burning Autumn” is a Japanese film released on December
23, 1978. It is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by
Itsuki Hiroyuki.
Starring: Mano Kyoko, directed by Kobayashi Masaki.
Mitsukoshi and Toho Films are in partnership, distributed by Toho.
(Synopsis)
Exhausted by being played with as a pet by the aging art dealer
Kageyama (Saburi Toshio), Kiryu Aki (Mano Kyoko) meets a
young trading company employee, Kishida (Kitaoji Kinya),
in the throngs of people at the evening festival
of the Gion Festival in Kyoto, who teaches her about the
beauty of Persian carpets. Eventually, Kageyama falls ill
with cancer and dies, leaving Aki with a Persian carpet
and a plane ticket to Iran, where it was born.
Aki travels to Iran in accordance with Kageyama’s last wishes.
