Disney Animation’s “Wish” is now streaming on Disney+.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wish” is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”). Jennifer Lee (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) executive produces—Lee and Allison Moore (“Night Sky,” “Manhunt”) are writers on the project. With original songs by Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice, plus score by composer Dave Metzger.

  1. This scene is so underrated and I think it’s because a lot of people don’t understand it as well as they should.

They aren’t defeating Magnifico with that singing and power of friendship trope. They are making a wish not on star or Magnifico but on themselves. Cause fun fact, we are actually made of stardust. Every single living & non living thing are made from elements that came from stars. That’s why in the scene where the animals started singing and talking, when they told asha she’s a star they LITERALLY meant she’s a star.

And I think with that context it makes this scene so much more powerful, they don’t need Magnifico or wishing on a star in a sky to fulfil their hopes and dreams, cause they are stars themselves and that’s all they need 🌟

  3. In actualy good disney movies there were grand final fights where the villian actualy dies most of the time but nooo instead the """villian"""" uses his very powerful magic to throw asha a few times, she starts singing the """""""""""""villian""""""""""" instead of fighting back in any usefull way starts throwing a tantrum and the """""""""""""""""""heroes"""""""""""""""""" just sing the bad guy into the mirror dimension without any struggle

  4. i loved the music in this movie but the movie wasn't good but the songs gave us good things to understand this song helps us understnd that you use your voice freely to stand up fav song

  5. of course the disney bots endlessly support this garbage. Although i'll give it some praise, this reprise of this song is the only one in the entire soundtrack that genuinely goes hard.
