北村匠海『幽☆遊☆白書』 x ザック・スナイダー『Rebel Moon』対談&合同ヒット祈願 | Netflix Japan

Through Yu Yu Hakusho, we have a great opportunity to introduce a Japanese show and Japanese culture to the world. The production level was so high, it rivals anything I’ve done before. But the attention to detail in Rebel Moon was amazing. The visuals of the planets and the way the universe was drawn

Were stunning throughout. Zack Snyder’s work really resonates with the Japanese audience, and audiences around the world. I’d like to talk about all kinds of things, for example, about his influences, the kinds of works he’s watched, and how he got to where he is now. First, a gift. Japanese confectionery. Japanese sweets.

It’s a planetary confectionary inspired by Rebel Moon. When did you arrive in Japan? So, I watched Rebel Moon and a lot of your past interviews. Through watching these, I get the strong impression that you are a fan of Japanese culture.

So, I’m curious about which aspect of Japanese culture you like in particular. As we are meeting for the first time, I wonder if you have any overall impressions or questions for me. I’m very happy to hear that. I think it’s true that he is what we call an anti-hero,

He’s not trying to become a hero. But when he stuck to his own sense of justice, he became a hero to some and an enemy to others. I see that in Rebel Moon, too. I feel that a sense of justice exists not only in the hero

But also in the villain or enemy, which is why a battle can ensue. I was thinking a lot about that while I was playing Yusuke. I put a lot of my focus in the eyes. I was very conscious of my eyes in the action sequences and acting scenes.

That’s got nothing to do with me. I’m just gonna take this guy out and save Keiko. Come on. There were many times when I would throw a punch and my emotion didn’t flow from the shoulder to the fist, and I had to do a lot of retakes.

If my action wasn’t accompanied by emotion and movement, the director wouldn’t approve the shot. I’m gonna get that insect out of you right now! out of there! I felt exactly that in Rebel Moon. The way the universe is depicted and the beauty of each scene is at the base of the film.

But the action scenes, how the main character, Kora, the way her emotion flowed with the action, and how her power flowed, I felt it was very similar to Yu Yu Hakusho. It took you 20 years to develop the idea for Rebel Moon. I’m really curious about where it all started.

Lastly, can you tell us what’s next for you? That’s a symbol Tokyo Tower. Zojoji Temple. We bless Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon so that it may be a hit We bless Takumi Kitamura’s Yu Yu Hakusho so that it may be a hit Thank you
